One 3 piece Dora the Explorer Exquisite Cake Decorating Kit. What a fun alternative to traditional sheet cakes. The 2.5 inch Dora figure has a tube connected underneath to secure it into the cake. As an added bonus, there is a roll of stickers inside the tube.
Dress Cake
Dora Exquisite Cake Decorating Instructions

Supplies Needed:
Dora the Explorer Exquisite Cake Kit.
Dome shaped cake or carved layer cake.

Icing tips needed:
#5 and #104

Icing colors needed:
Sunset Orange and Neon Purple

CAKE CARVING DIRECTIONS:
Carve two 4 inch cakes in order to make a dress shaped cake. Place Barbie into the top of the cake.

DECORATING DIRECTIONS

  1. Ice cake Neon Purple.
  2. Place Dora item on cake as shown.
  3. Using tip #104, pipe Sunset Orange band around base of cake and ruffle on top of band.
  4. Using tip #104, pipe Neon Purple ruffles up to her waist, starting at the base and working your way up.
  5. Using tip #5, pipe Sunset Orange detail around skirt as shown.


Dora The Explorer Exquisite Signature Cake Cutting Instructions:

1. Using #11161-Round cutter, cut two 4" layers from sheet cake.

2. Trim around the top layer as shown.

 

 

Dora The Explorer Exquisite Step-By-Step Assembly and Decorating Instructions:

1. Place icing between the cake layers and stack cake layers as shown.

2. Ice cake Neon Purple.

3. Using tip #104, pipe Sunset Orange band around base of cake.

4. Using tip #8, pipe Sunset Orange ruffle on top of band.

        

5. Using tip #104, pipe Neon Purple ruffles to her waist, starting at the base and working your way up.

6. Place cake kit on cake as shown and finish ruffles.

7. Using tip #5, pipe Sunset Orange detail around skirt as shown.
